U.S. WWII Paratrooper

There is something inherently enjoying about drawing WWII related stuff, for me. I've always been somewhat of a WWII buff ever since high school. My admiration for the soldiers who served was one of the reasons I joined the infantry myself. Hearing about things like brotherhood and camaraderie romanticized the who idea of the military for me. Of course after joining I got to see what it's really like. It was one of the most enjoyable experiences in my entire life and I look back on in fondly.

Well, that went off onto a weird tangent. Well, anyways, here is a WWII paratrooper. He doesn't have a name, I didn't think that far ahead. Let's call him Sgt. Shapiro... sound good? I think so. Outside of wanting to learn drawing digitally more and more with each piece, this one was sort of a study. As you may know I'm currently tinkering on a WWII comic based around D-Day right now, and this drawing is just a warm-up for what's to come. Later on I should have a video of the whole process. I'll make sure to post it up here when it's ready.

Hellboy

Being off from making books has been nice. I've been able to expiration a lot more with the different programs I have. I'm seriously considering sticking with Manga Studio for the long haul. I did this drawing with it. The inking tools in it are wonderful.

You Blink When You Breath...

... And you breath when you lie. Had a commission to do a drawing of Jack White. No other details other than just draw the man. One of my favorite songs of the past few years and, ultimately, all time is 'Treat Me Like Your Mother' by the Dead Weather. Not only is it a great song, but the video is freaking amazing. People shooting people, that's the stuff dreams of made of. Anyway, the end of that video is my inspiration for this Jack White drawing

From the Art Desk: E.T.

OK, so remember that poll that I held like 5 months ago? Well I finally got around to drawing something else from it other than Indiana Jones. If you can't tell, this is E.T. Makes me want to eat Reese's Pieces and play with old Star Wars action figures

UPDATE: After some critiques I adjusted the background to make it blend better
