U.S. WWII Paratrooper

There is something inherently enjoying about drawing WWII related stuff, for me. I've always been somewhat of a WWII buff ever since high school. My admiration for the soldiers who served was one of the reasons I joined the infantry myself. Hearing about things like brotherhood and camaraderie romanticized the who idea of the military for me. Of course after joining I got to see what it's really like. It was one of the most enjoyable experiences in my entire life and I look back on in fondly.

Well, that went off onto a weird tangent. Well, anyways, here is a WWII paratrooper. He doesn't have a name, I didn't think that far ahead. Let's call him Sgt. Shapiro... sound good? I think so. Outside of wanting to learn drawing digitally more and more with each piece, this one was sort of a study. As you may know I'm currently tinkering on a WWII comic based around D-Day right now, and this drawing is just a warm-up for what's to come. Later on I should have a video of the whole process. I'll make sure to post it up here when it's ready.
